Nine days: the valley circuit of Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg, then down to Katra for Vaishno Devi darshan and a last night in Jammu.
We pick you up at Srinagar airport. In the afternoon you visit the Mughal gardens along Dal Lake, and in the evening you take a shikara out on the lake. Overnight in Srinagar.
Gulmarg is about two hours' drive from Srinagar. Ride the Gondola (tickets extra) and spend the rest of the day walking the meadows, then drive back to Srinagar for the night.
The drive to Pahalgam takes around three hours, with a stop at the saffron fields of Pampore on the way. In the afternoon you visit Betaab and Aru valleys. Overnight in Pahalgam.
The morning is for Baisaran meadow and Chandanwari. In the evening you drive back to Srinagar for the night.
A day trip to Sonmarg, about two and a half to three hours up the Sindh valley, with time at Thajiwas glacier. You come back to Srinagar for a night on a Dal Lake houseboat.
A long day on the road. You drive south on the Jammu highway through the Banihal tunnel to Katra, which takes most of the day with stops, so an early start helps. Overnight in Katra.
The climb to the Bhawan is about 13 km. You can walk it, go by pony, or take the helicopter, which covers most of the distance but still leaves a short walk at the top. Helicopter seats need booking well ahead. After darshan you come back down to Katra for the night.
A short drive, around an hour and a half, down to Jammu. You visit the Raghunath temple and Bahu fort, and spend the night in Jammu.
Transfer to Jammu airport or railway station.
